William EdwinRingold, of Linn, was born April 12, 1862 near Graysport, Yalobusha County, Miss. (now Grenada), and is the son of William Ringold and wife, Elizabeth James Ringold. Mr. Ringold attended the public schools of Grenada County, under the instruction of Miss Fannie willis, Jane Fox, John Richardson and P. H. Eager. He is a farmer; elected Justice of the Peace of the Fourth District, Sunflower County, in 1889, and served until 1900; elected a member of the Board of Supervisors of Sunflower County in 1899; elected to the House of |
Representatives from sunflower County November 3, 1903. Mr. Ringold is a Democrat, and has served on Congressional District Committee; is a member of the Baptist Church-clerk; was married December 16, 1888, to Emma E. Hollowell, daughter of J. W. Hollowell and wife, Jennie Hollowell of Carroll County, Mr. and Mrs. Ringold have four children - Henry, Bettie, Mattie and Cary.
